The Straight Path

Qur’aanic Verse 19.36:

36. Wa-inna Allaha rabbee warabbukum faoAAbudoohu hatha siratun mustaqeemun

36. And, indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord; hence, worship Him. This is the Straight Path.7

Study Note:

7. In the opening Chapter of the Qur’aan, Allah Almighty teaches us to pray to Him to show us the Straight Path. And here, in this Verse, He tells us that worshipping Him is the Straight Path. To worship is to obey unquestioningly. If we do really worship Allah, we should scrupulously obey all His commands given in His Message, the Qur’aan. One of those commands is that we should worship none but Him. When we unquestioningly obey any human being, without ascertaining whether his orders are in tune with the Qur’aan, we would become guilty of worshipping that human being. And that would not be the Straight Path as defined in this Verse.

The above is an extract from Qur’aanic Studies Manzil IV, which will soon, inshaAllah, be published on Amazon Kindle. Manzil IMabzil II & Manzil III of the series are already published.

  1. Sura Maryam Ayat 36: Exosition……. (As regard to the Christian belief Jesus was God himself, there cannot be a better argument than Jesus’s own proclamation that) Verily Allah is my Sustainer and yours as well. All of us should obey Him,for this is the most certainly the (only) straight and balanced path(3:50)

Moreover this also gives an idea that benifishiries of the Nizame Raboobyyat is not only the messenger/messengers( the leaders of the nation) but equal for all the commen man.
In capitalism the VVIPs are getting more behifits than a common man which is against this.

  2. Sir can we unquestioningly obey that human being whose name is (Muhammad) peace be upon him ?

    • Sir,

I do not think you would have put forward this question, if you have read the Quran with understanding.
If not let me know, if in India, So i could suggest some place where u could enhance your knowledge of the book.
      Best Regards

    • Now, we can unquestioningly obey Prophet Muhammad only by unquestioningly obeying the Qur’aan.

  3. The Quran has given a very clear concept of ‘ibadah’. It simply means: “obedience to God’s command”. In verse (18:110) it says; “wa la yushrik be-ibadateh rabbehe ahada – nor does he associate anyone in ‘ibadah’ of his God. And in verse (18:26) it says; “wa la yushrik fi hukmehe ahada”- nor does He share His Command with any person whatsoever”. These verses have clearly defined the relation between ‘hukm’ and ‘ibadah’ and left no room for confusing ‘ibadah’ with worship.Neither God wants to share His Command with anyone nor His Messenger like to obey anyone except God.Hence Obey God and Obey messenger Means Obey The complete Quran and it will not be same as obey the man made principles and practices which are against quranic teachings.
