All Planning is Allah’s

Qur’aanic Verse 13.42:

13.42

Transliteration:

42. Waqad makara allatheena min qablihim falillahi almakru jameeAAan yaAAlamu ma taksibu kullu nafsin wasayaAAlamu alkuffaru liman AAuqba alddari

Translation:

42. And those before them did make plans, but all planning is Allah’s.20 He knows what every one earns, and those who suppress the Truth shall come to know for whom the Ultimate Abode is.

Study Note:

 20. A man may make a plan for a thing to be done. But that plan will succeed if, and only if, it synchronises with Allah’s. In the ultimate analysis, therefore, it is Allah’s plan that makes anything happen, and not man’s.

The above is an extract from Qur’aanic Studies Manzil III, which will soon, inshaAllah, be published on Amazon Kindle. Manzil I & Mabzil II of the series are already published.

  1. It is because of the fact that ultimately Allah plans everything, that some people mistake this for doing nothing! Indeed Allah is the great Planner but one needs to make one’s plans also because Allah helps those who help themselves. It is also important to include HIm in all one’s plans and make provision for those plans that may not work out. In other words, have several alternatives. As it is often said for teachers new to the profession: if you don’t have a plan, you plan to fail!

    Mohammad Shafi:
Qur’aan does not say man should not plan. He should. But he should also accept the inevitable fact that his plan will succeed if, and only if, it synchronises with Allah’s plans.

  2. you didnt find anything here that says that hadith are fake ?

    Mohammad Shafi:
There are many things other than hadeeth that the Qur’aan admonishes about.
